Crypto-Philanthropy Report 2026
This report by Blockchain for Good explores how crypto-assets are redefining the codes of philanthropy. It examines who crypto-donors are, what drives them, and how they act — as well as the operational and strategic implications for solidarity organisations and what is at stake for beneficiaries.
Beyond the technical mechanisms of donation, the report explores what these new forms of aid — now programmable, verifiable and measurable — actually mean in practice, at a time when public development aid is declining and individual generosity is becoming an increasingly critical resource for NGOs worldwide.
Guillaume Soto-Mayor (President) and Inès d'Haultfoeuille (Director of Development) contributed to this report as co-authors across several chapters, including the introduction and sections on aid models, governance and the evolving landscape of international solidarity.
